When I look back at all the games I’ve played in my lifetime, there are few that I recall as vividly and fondly as this one. I don’t think it was the gameplay as much as it was the sense of immersion – more recent Action RPGs just haven’t left as much of a mark.

It’s downright heretical to say so, but Deus X was not a game that I loved to excess, and though I’ve tried to go back a few times since, just haven’t been able to get into.

It’s weird, because I am primarily a FPS gamer. Oh well, maybe I’ll try again this year before the new one comes out.

This is quite possibly my favorite video game of all time. The combination of great plot and great game play hasn’t been matched since.
