So I came late to the party on this, having been not impressed with the first one and somewhat frustrated by the difficulty of the second one. And brotherhood, seeming to come so soon on the heels of AC2 seemed a bit of a cynical cash grab just trying to play off the addition of multiplayer (which, while conceptually interesting due to it’s similarity to the indie spyparty, wasn’t something I actually wanted to play). But boy was I wrong. I borrowed it off a friend and the single player is GREAT.

Detection distance on enemies in stealth bits seems reduced, the timing on countering attacks in melee seems more forgiving and there are fewer missions where breaking stealth means an auto fail; it’s the first one in the series I’ve finished and pulling off stealth kills and training up and sending assassins to do your bidding is SO satisfying.
