The US Army is planning to use Crytek's CryEngine 3, virtual reality, and motion capture technology to power a new combat simulator. With a price tag of $57 million, the system will allow soldiers to simulate missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere before ever setting foot on the battlefield.

Freedom Bridge is a Flash game, sort of, about the 'Freedom Bridge' across the Imjin River between North and South Korea. Whatever it is, it's memorable. It's one of Jordan Magnuson's Necessary Games, some of which are arguable neither necessary nor games, but almost all of which are interesting in some way. Magnuson is creating computer games based on his ongoing world travel.

The Terms of Service for the Nintendo 3DS grant Nintendo full rights to use any user-created content on the 3DS -- including photos taken with it. Additionally, the device will automatically contact Nintendo at any opportunity it has. If Nintendo detects that your 3DS has been modded, or if unauthorized peripherals have been used, then they will brick the system.
