What happens when pirates play a game development simulator and then go bankrupt because of piracy? In 2013, Greenheart games released Game Dev Tycoon and then immediately uploaded a cracked version of the game themselves to teh torrentz. Hilarity, as they say, ensued.

The Internet Arcade is a whole bunch of classic arcade games from the golden age, playable in your browser. Defender is theoretically playable at best, though, even with a gamepad, which shouldn't be a big surprise, I guess.

I questioned how it was I could consume 60 hours of ‘content’ for Assassin’s Creed 3 yet feel utterly unsatisfied by my act of consumption. I questioned what it was I had consumed, other than my own time. I questioned what it was I sought from the game in the first place. I questioned the nature of the ‘content’ it claimed to offer me; privately I began to suspect it might not even exist.
