1. I would be a liar if I didn’t say I was looking forward to Duke. It’ll be embarrassing and stupid and a disappointment, but ALWAYS BET ON THE DUKE or something, is what I say. I think.

  2. I hope the game has the same humor as before, too.

  3. Well, Gearbox did do a great job with Borderlands, single player wise. Their GameSpy debacle is just that. Buuuut, DNF is mainly a SP game, and will live and die on that. I have high hopes.

  4. Looks a lot like Bulletstorm to me. Then again, I never played any of the original Duke Nukem games, and I can’t stand the guy’s voice, so I probably won’t be playing this anyways, at least not until it’s $2.50 on a Steam sale.

  5. Gearbox is missing a golden opportunity to release the game on April 1, 2011.

  6. That’s what everyone says and… I agree. Seriously, you couldn’t shave three weeks off a game in production for over a decade?

Honestly, I actually liked the Duke Deathmatch more than just about anything else because of things like Holoduke, that to me made it require a bit more cunning than just knowing where the Quad damage and/or BFG are hidden.

  7. I’m unabashedly looking forward to the game, but that trailer just wasn’t very good. The framerates were off, the models slid around, none of the scenes seemed particularly distinctive, and even Duke’s lip-syncing was off. Hope this doesn’t reflect on the quality of the final product.
